Confusing Questions
\nWho are we if we can not be what we believe
\nWhat are we if we live a lie and seek to deceive
\nWhy are we if we can\u2019t tell right from wrong
\nWhere are we if to ourselves we can\u2019t belong<\/p>\n
Who are we if we are afraid of who we are
\nWhat are we if what we are we cheat and mar
\nWhy are we if we hide away from hurt and pain
\nWhere are we if we put ourselves first for gain<\/p>\n
Supposing we could answer this, these important questions in our life
\nWe would know just how to deal with things and minimise all strife
\nWe could drop responses automated by preconceptions in our head
\nTo rationalise, to determine and answer questions put to us instead
\nWe could simplify all the problems that we deal with day to day
\nInstead of sadness, happiness, as these problems melt away
\nSeldom do we reach this point emotions cloud what we should see
\nInstead we deal with who is what to where and just why we are we<\/p>\n
Who are we if when in love we can not share
\nWhat are we if when a loved one cry\u2019s we do not care
\nWhy are we if through action we break a lovers heart
\nWhere are we if we can watch a loved one fall apart<\/p>\n
Who are we if we can\u2019t help a stranger in distress
\nWhat are we if when we help, its forced under duress
\nWhy are we if we are judgemental in our views
\nWhere are we if bigotry is what we choose<\/p>\n
Supposing we could change ourselves and cater better to our needs
\nAnd base our thoughts on caring as it would help to sew the seeds
\nOf a world uncomplicated by broken people in their prime
\nWho have given up on hope and life before the sands of time
\nWe could re-focus on the problems and plan a path ahead for all
\nWith joy and hope in all of our hearts, the dream is not that tall
\nBut as is the case with idealism, the dream won\u2019t set you free
\nSo, we deal with who is what to where and just why we are we<\/p>\n
Who are we when we are lost and don\u2019t have a clue
\nWhat are we when we will not act and will not do
\nWhy are we when we choose acceptance and not to see
